Warehouse Supervisor/Manager at Virgio in Bengaluru, Karnataka

Role:

As a Warehouse Supervisor for a fashion D2C brand, you will oversee and coordinate the daily activities within the warehouse to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of operations. You will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse staff, implementing best practices, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Management:

• Supervise and lead a team of warehouse personnel, including pickers, packers, and inventory control staff.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure a cohesive and motivated workforce.

2. Workflow Planning:

• Plan and organize daily warehouse activities to meet order fulfillment targets.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as logistics and sales, to optimize overall workflow.

3. Inventory Management:

• Oversee inventory control processes, including regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
• Implement strategies to minimize stock discrepancies and ensure accurate stock levels.

4. Quality Control:

• Implement and maintain quality control measures for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Conduct regular checks on received merchandise for accuracy and condition.

5. Order Fulfillment:

• Monitor order picking and packing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.

6. Safety Compliance:

• Enforce safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
• Conduct regular safety training sessions for warehouse staff.

7. Technology Utilization:

• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology to optimize processes.
• Ensure staff is trained on the proper use of technology tools.

8. Reporting:

• Generate and analyze reports on warehouse performance, including productivity and accuracy metrics.
• Provide regular updates to management on key performance indicators.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• 2+ years experience in a warehouse supervisory role, preferably in the fashion industry.
• Good MS Office skills ie: Excel and Word
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
• Knowledge of fashion industry logistics and warehouse best practices.
