Job Summary:
As the Department Manager for Apparel at Reliance retail Ltd, you will be responsible for overseeing the apparel departments daily operations, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. You will lead a team of associates, manage inventory, and create an engaging shopping experience that meets customer needs and enhances brand loyalty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of apparel associates.
- Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations to provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and communication.
- Sales & Customer Engagement:
- Drive sales performance by implementing effective merchandising and promotional strategies.
- Monitor sales metrics and analyze customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure associates provide outstanding customer service and address inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory levels, including stock replenishment, visual merchandising, and loss prevention.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and minimize shrinkage.
- Collaborate with purchasing and supply chain teams to manage product assortments effectively.
- Merchandising:
- Maintain a visually appealing and organized apparel department in line with company standards.
- Implement seasonal and promotional displays to maximize sales opportunities.
- Stay updated on fashion trends and customer preferences to curate product offerings.
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensure compliance with store policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Assist in budgeting and financial management for the apparel department.
- Report on department performance, including sales, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, fashion merchandising, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably in apparel or fashion retail.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in retail management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
