Job Title: Department Manager Apparel

Job Summary:

As the Department Manager for Apparel at Reliance retail Ltd, you will be responsible for overseeing the apparel departments daily operations, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. You will lead a team of associates, manage inventory, and create an engaging shopping experience that meets customer needs and enhances brand loyalty.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:
    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of apparel associates.
    • Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations to provide constructive feedback.
    • Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and communication.
  • Sales & Customer Engagement:
    • Drive sales performance by implementing effective merchandising and promotional strategies.
    • Monitor sales metrics and analyze customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Ensure associates provide outstanding customer service and address inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Oversee inventory levels, including stock replenishment, visual merchandising, and loss prevention.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and minimize shrinkage.
    • Collaborate with purchasing and supply chain teams to manage product assortments effectively.
  • Merchandising:
    • Maintain a visually appealing and organized apparel department in line with company standards.
    • Implement seasonal and promotional displays to maximize sales opportunities.
    • Stay updated on fashion trends and customer preferences to curate product offerings.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Ensure compliance with store policies, procedures, and safety standards.
    • Assist in budgeting and financial management for the apparel department.
    • Report on department performance, including sales, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, fashion merchandising, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in retail management, preferably in apparel or fashion retail.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in retail management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
